Overseas Trekking
The High Atlas Mountains in Morocco! Flying to Marakech, with an overnight
stop before onward travel to Imlil, the road head village at the foot of Jebel Toubkal.
Toubkal in the Atlas chain at 4108m is the highest point in North Africa. The area offers
rich cultural diversity, a meeting point of African, Islamic and European cultures. The
Berbers (mountain dwelling people) are renowned for their linguistic abilities and their
genuine friendly nature. The trekking is leisurely and the scenery spectacular. Local
muleteers are used for transportation of food and equipment, and our in country agent and
guide will help to organise the itinerary and advise of any recent climatic changes to
mountain passes. A full day is spent in Marakech before departure to explore the souks and
experience the unique magical atmosphere of the Djemma al Fna.
