Canoeing.

Introductory Sessions

Taster sessions will normally take place on flat water (canals reservoirs or lakes) The emphasis being on fun while coaching some basic skills and making the learning fun by playing a variety of games. Single cockpit Kayaks and open boats are available (Canadian style canoes ) The latter encouraging group co-operation and team work.

Moving water

River trips can be organised for groups with some prior experience. This can be gained by dividing the day into two parts. The morning will be spend on flat water developing skills and the afternoon on the river putting newly aquired skills into good practice on appropriate rapids and flowing water. For those already familiar with basic handling skills full river journey days are available.
