Who is it for?

Popular with climbers keen to experience the 'sharp end'. Focus is on placing protection, constructing belays, route choice, rope work, and protecting the second. The aim is to give sufficient knowledge and confidence to enable independent progression. Applicants must be aware of the increased risk at this level.

Multi Pitch Climbing Skills. 1:2

Who is it for?

Essentially for climbers wishing to improve their skills and widen the scope of personal activity within the sport. Focus is on stance management, changeovers, Abseil evacuation, escaping the system and dealing with common problems. More specific rescue courses are available for climbers already operating on multi pitch crags and who are aware of the possible problems involved. Topics such as hoisting, dealing with an injured partner and prussiking will be covered in realistic rather than contrived situations.
